End of season club trianing
- Tuesday 24th April – last Club training session at the NSC (MYG continues till the 15th May)
- U11 & U13s (6 till 7pm) we will be organising some games for this last session.
- U16s and Seniors – (7 till 8.30pm) we are looking to organise a round robin tournament 20 mins games. In order to help us organise this we would like you to advise if you intend to come to training next Tuesday. We would appreciate it if everyone could be at the NSC on time so that we can start as soon after 7 as possible.
The Isle of Man Hockey Festival is being held this year the weekend of 4th May to 7th May.
Vikings have entered two teams like last year and will be called the Chilli Nuts 1 and Chilli Nuts 2, we have requested games on Sat, Sun am and pm and also on Mon am.
Hayley and Jonny have set up a facebook page for this event Vikings Whit 2012
Jonny is currently looking at kit and therefore needs to know ASAP as to whether anyone would like a shirt. The cost of the kit is approximate at the moment but should be in the region of £20/£25 this will be for a shirt only, as the teams will wear the MT black shorts / skorts and black and white socks.
The games will be played either at Cronkbourne Cricket Club (grass) or on the astro in Douglas, the playing is open to everyone.
Evening Social Events are open to over 18s only:-
- Friday night is generally drinks at Amber
- Saturday the MHA are organising A Greek vs Roman Night at Bar George price is £15 a ticket, includes Welcome drink on arrival, Nibbles on... each table, Banquet Dancing and fun until late, Prizes for best individual and team
- Sunday night is fancy dress, venue to be confirmed but probably at Palace. This year the Vikings / Chilli Nuts theme is “down on the farm”. So that opens up a vast array of possibilities; farmers, animals, vegetables, tractors, whatever people want, so start getting thinking.
What do you need to do now:-
Please let us know ASAP as to whether you would like to play in the festival so that we can order your shirt, we will confirm amount and advise re payment of it as soon as we know.

Bingo Night
Date & Time : Tuesday 22nd May @ 7pm
Venue: Kursaal Bingo Hall, Best Western Palace Hotel, Central Prom
Come and support Vikings end of season Fund raiser. Funds to go towards clubs development over all teams. The bingo night is open to all Hockey associates both playing and social members, family and friends over the age of 18.
£20 a ticket includes:
1.Buffet which starts at 7pm
2.Ten games of full Bingo
3.A free Dabber/marker
